Keeping Your Balance
Every situation is unique (Care Tip #3), so no one resource will give you all the information you need. There are many excellent books in libraries and bookstores, but few that focus on the unique problems of distance caring.  The books listed below are ones which I found particularly helpful on both a personal and emotional level along with the details of caregiving.  With this core of books on your shelf and a few bookmarks to Internet Web pages, you will be well-armed for long-term, distance caring.
Strauss, Peter J. and Nancy M. Lederman. The Elder Law Handbook: A Legal and Financial Survival Guide for Caregivers and Seniors. Facts on File, 1996.
This may be dated in the details, but not in the basics. Use this to get familiar with issues and concepts, then talk to your elderlawyer.
